2024 ALTO Retail Store
Safety Report
With stores identifying offenders only about 2% of the time, an effective incident management process is essential for retail store safety.
Access our latest report, completed in collaboration with the Loss Prevention Research Council (LPRC), to uncover key data on how implementing ALTO’s retail safety solution can effectively mitigate retail crime and improve employee safety.
“The findings indicate that case follow-up is crucial for enhancing employees’ feelings of safety. While many employees felt safer because they believed ALTO reduced theft, other top reasons for their sense of security involved post-incident support.
Ideally, follow-up should reassure employees that they don’t need to intervene in active thefts, as they trust the crimes will be handled in court. This aspect will require further investigation in future research.”
ALTO serves as the last mile in asset protection strategies, supporting retailers by advocating for consequences for those who disrupt the safety of stores and their teams.
